Sometime between 1990 and 1994, I visited Manteca Waterslides with my dad, stepmom, older sister, and younger sister. We camped at Oakwood Lake specifically because there was a meteor shower.
I remember that many other people at the campground had their sleeping bags outside to watch the sky, not just our family. I don’t remember the exact year, but it’s a memory I still enjoy revisiting.
I’ve been looking into the old waterpark and the meteor showers from that period. I haven’t established which year we visited, but the research itself has been enjoyable.
